How to Properly Store Your Memories

Did you know that the way you store your analog media plays a big role in whether it can be transferred or not?

At one time, VHS tapes seemed tougher than DVDs and Blu-rays, but they are very sensitive. Don’t leave any VHS tapes in your basement because mold can begin to grow on the tape.

Keep them in a cool, dry place. Don’t store them in a humid place. And while whatever temperature you’re comfortable living in is also probably appropriate for your media, make sure you don’t leave them in front of a window, as that can warp your media.

Video Tapes, Audio, Film, and Photos can be transferred onto a USB drive or DVD/CD for safekeeping. Here at HB Media Solutions, there is no job too small, and no job too large. We want to help you and your loved ones preserve memories the right way.
